Certificate in Foundations for Health Professions
This certificate is awarded in conjunction with an existing degree at Cape Breton University.
The Certificate in Foundations for Health Professions aims to:
- Allow students in undergraduate degree programs to package their electives with other degree requirements to achieve learning outcomes relevant for future studies in health professional programs.
- Develop champions of community wellness, health promotions, and disease prevention through interpersonal development and an understanding of social, cultural, biological and environmental determinants of human health.
- Expose students to a range of health professions, while demonstrating the value of inter-professional collaboration.
- Strengthen CBU’s positioning as a destination of choice for students with long-term goals to enter health professions.
- Build relationships with health professionals in the community to support future program(s) development.
