Communication between NSCC and Students

  • Schedules are found on MyNSCC. Course outlines and workplans are found on Brightspace; workplans are tentative and subject to change.
  • If used at your campus, you will have access to the program SharePoint site that contains course information such as assignments, readings and schedules plus other important information. It is suggested that you visit the site weekly or as directed by your faculty.
  • Faculty will maintain contact and send important information to you through your NSCC email. We will not send information to you through any other e-mail address. It is recommended that you check your e-mail often for new information.
  • If you need to send information to faculty, it is preferred to send via e-mail. You may also call the faculty member’s office number and if needed, leave a message.
  • If you need to visit a faculty member, please be aware of office hours or request an appointment.
  • If you have a change in home address or telephone numbers, please ensure that this information is updated for NSCC.
  • It is your responsibility to communicate with faculty about any missed timelines, classes, labs or clinical.

NOTE: Make sure you check your NSCC e-mail often for new information.

Faculty will be available throughout the duration of the program for extra help or to answer questions. Please arrange an appointment with your faculty for any issues that you may wish to discuss. You may arrange appointments in person, by phone or email. If you are having difficulty with the course content, it is essential that you meet with your faculty as soon as possible. Faculty will also assist you in accessing the student services team on campus. For more information about student services visit the Student Supports webpage.
