2.4 Oral Evacuation & Instrument Transfer
ORAL EVACUATION and INSTRUMENT TRANSFER
Protocol: The learner must successfully demonstrate accurate retraction of tissues while keeping fluids from accumulating in the oral cavity, to ensure visibility and patient comfort through the use and correct positioning of the high and low volume evacuation system. The learner must successfully demonstrate safe and efficient instrument transfer, utilizing the four-handed dentistry technique.
NOTE: This procedure will be an evaluated component in specified clinical evaluations under the heading “safety measured followed”.
