- The farmer plants his crops. This sentence tells about the farmer. or comparing to, (an adjective):
Examples: Nancy is shorter than Mary. This sentence compares the height of Nancy and Mary.
vowel suffix est – /est/ – comparing three or more
- Means comparing three or more and is in words that are adjectives.
- For example, Nancy is the fastest runner in the school.
- This sentence compares Nancy’s running to that of every other person in the school.
