Awareness Platforms & Collaboration
On-Campus Campaigns
Most commonly, your campaigns will be hosted in person, on campus. This might include posters and/or flyers with awareness information or QR codes to legitimate websites offering more information. You can consult your Library staff to ensure you are using these resources appropriately before posting.
Campaign Events
For interactive student outreach, you may choose to host an event around the campaign topic or book a table to share resources and materials the pertain to your campaign. In this case, work with your VP Activities to ensure all event & risk management pieces are included in the planning process. You can also collaborate with your VP Activities on this event if they wish to include it as part of their monthly events.

Social Media Campaigns
Depending on the topic, you may choose to have your awareness campaign hosted through your Student Association social media accounts. In this case, work with your VP Communications to arrange for your content to be posted. Discuss further to see if your VP Communications is willing to support the creation of your awareness campaign content. This may include posts, stories, reels or longer videos.

Events in Collaboration with NSCC or Societies
Certain months present unique opportunities to support campus initiatives and society goals. As VP Services, you are already the contact point for Societies, which offers a great opportunity to suggest collaboration upon reviewing their stated annual goals.
Examples
- January – Wellness Week
Collaboration between the Student Association & Student Services is common for events and services during this time. - February – African Heritage Month
Collaboration between the Student Association & the African Nova Scotian and Black Student Advisor and/or a Black Student Society (where applicable) may be an option during this time. - Any Month – Pride Week, Indigenous Awareness
Where June is outside of the current Student Association term (except when held by students elected in Spring Elections and choosing to participate in the summer term) you may choose, during any month, to work with your campus in the following ways:
– collaborate with the GSA to offer a Pride Week
– Indigenous Society (where applicable) or L’nu Indigenous Student Advisor to help build an awareness campaign on an important topic in a collaborative way
