Clubs & Societies Fair

As part of your October checklist, you should begin planning a Clubs & Societies fair. This is an opportunity to promote all current and prospective Clubs & Societies at your campus to help raise awareness of their existence and grow their membership. You should consider collaborating with your VP Activities to extend the invite to Teams and any students wishing to begin new Teams as well.

Remember to:

• Listen to the feedback when creating sign up forms.
• Reach out to those students who have already expressed interest.

Once you have made connections, be sure to book a table in a high traffic area for each interested Club, Society and Team, and promote the date of your fair to students through all Student Association platforms, by connecting with your VP Communications.

Fundraisers

From time to time, you may be asked to provide guidance and support to society fundraisers so that they can financially support their stated goals. Clubs and Societies are encouraged to plan fundraisers and events on their campus; however, planning details should be brought to the attention of the Student Association VP Services so that appropriate facilities planning and risk management processes can take place, if appropriate. Be sure to review the completed Fundraising Plans that are submitted alongside their charter kit and follow up with Student Chairpersons to support.
