Student Care Navigator (SCN)

Student Care Navigators (SCN) work for regions/campuses to support students facing barriers or concerns while studying at the College.  You can reach out to your SCN at any time to get support around non-academic issues of concern like conflict, how to succeed in team work, loneliness and isolation along with feeling overwhelmed or anxious.  They are social workers and counsellors by profession and have experience in supporting complex needs.   They won’t provide counselling or advising however they will refer you to a member of the Student Services team who will.

If you are not sure where to go with concerns you might have, who to talk to and are just wondering how you will figure it all out, know you are not alone. Your SCN is available to support you from minor issues to complex ones too.  They want to see you succeed.  For more information go to nscc.ca/carenavigator.
