Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Equity is our collective call to action.

NSCC is committed to growing and sustaining a culture of excellence in inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility and anti-racism (IDEA2) that centres first-voice experience and promotes a just society for all through systemic transformational change.

Everyone at the College has a responsibility to educate ourselves about Mi’kmaq and African Nova Scotian communities who have been historically disproportionately impacted by systemic racism.

We must learn to honour our diversity and include the perspectives of 2SLGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, Mi’kmaq and Indigenous people, African Nova Scotian and Black people, women, racially visible people, immigrants, and everyone with multiple and varied identities in our communities.

Together we can make our communities stronger and be well positioned to make positive impacts in the workforce and in society.
