Ideation and Spark

This resource was made possible through the dedication and commitment of the International Confederation of Dietetics Associations (ICDA) Board of Directors, and especially Chair, Giuseppe Russolillo. ICDA has prioritized work to support nutrition and dietetic professionals internationally to integrate sustainability into practice. Through their initiative, they have supported research to understand the needs of practitioners and trainees, ongoing conversations at international meetings to generate common understanding and prioritize actions, and the development and gathering of tools and resources by and for nutrition and dietetics professionals to support practice.

Author Roles

Liesel Carlsson, RD, PhD

Liesel co-led the research to understand the needs of practitioners and trainees and project ideation, led the writing of original content and editing updates, contributed student supervision and content expertise.

Phoebe Thomson, BSN

Phoebe led the development of the Open Access Resource, contributing to writing, editing and adapting existing work, content expertise, designing and building the interactive assessment tools.

Phebe Oluwafemi, MSc

Phebe (Peer Reviewer) led the multi-site peer-review and pilot testing of the content and design, contributing to editing according to feedback, and linking theory to practice.

Stacia Nordin, RD, MA

Stacia (Reviewer) led the process of coordinating and supporting the development  and gathering of relevant tools and resources with National Dietetics Associations and their members, contributing to foundational research, editing and content expertise.
